Each Scouting program has its own requirements for advancement. Select your program:
Eagle Scout
Scouts working towards the rank of Eagle Scout, can find relevant information on our Eagle Trail page.
Merit Badges
Merit Badges are an important part of the Scouts BSA program, and over 125 merit badges are currently offered. You can find Counselors for each Merit Badge on our Online Merit Badge Counselor Listing. Adults with experience in a Merit Badge subject are encouraged to become Merit Badge Counselors. To learn more, see our SDIC Merit Badge Counselor page.
STEM/Nova Awards Program
The BSA STEM/Nova Awards program incorporates learning with cool activities and exposure to science, technology, engineering and mathematics for Scouts at all levels. The hope is that earning these awards stimulates interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) fields. Counselors and mentors help bring this engaging, contemporary, and fun program to life for youth members.
Internet Advancement
Keep track of the advancement of the youth in your unit with Scoutbook.
Scouts with Special Needs
Recognizing that no two Scouts are alike, and that some Scouts have "disabilities" that require extra help from our trained leaders. These Scouts with special needs have allowances for membership eligibility and advancement flexibility.
