AB-506 is a state of California law adopting additional youth safety requirements, and it took effect January 1, 2022. The law is not targeting Scouting since it applies to ALL youth service organizations throughout the State. It is also separate from and in addition to BSA Youth Protection Training, thus furthering council's support of their mission to protect youth in our program.
